How to Transfer Post Office Saving Account from One Post Office to Another 2024?
So, follow these steps:
- First of all you need to download an application form. Download
- Or you can get it from any post office.
- Take a print out in A4 size paper. Fill all the details carefully.
- 1. Write post office name (You can write either existing one or the one where you want to transfer) 2. Mention your saving account number 3. Existing post office name (where you are having the account) 4. Write post office name where you want to transfer) 5. Write available balance you are having in numbers and in words. 6. Put your signature and date. Rest things you don’t need to fill. Leave it blank.
- Now visit any one of the post office. Either where you are having account or the new one.
- Carry your passbook along with your KYC documents (such as Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Passport etc)
- Submit filled application form, passbook and one document proof.

I had submitted all the needed documents as well as fulfilled all the requirements and the post office at Gopalpur received the application etc. on 4th Octo. 2021.
On further enquiry the Post Master had forwarded the needed documents to its branch at Canning WB on 11th Octo.
