What is required if we want NEFT status?
Only thing require is UTR number. It is a number which is generated immediately after transaction. It looks like for PNB PUNBHXXXXXXXX, similarly for HDFC HDFCXXXXX.
How to Check NEFT Transactions Status Online?
Online via Mobile or Net Banking
So, below we have shown with the help of Central Bank of India. You can check this facility in your bank mobile banking or net banking (if facility is available)
So, follow these steps:
- First of all open Central Bank of India Cent Mobile app. Click Here if you don’t have.
- Login with Username and Password.
- Next, go to “Service Request“
- Now, click on “NEFT Enquiry“
- Enter UTR Number, Transaction Password and click on “Submit“
- Done. You can see the status.
Check NEFT Status By SMS
Note: Don’t forget to give mobile number and email id during NEFT transactions for getting updates. (If email option is there, mention email)
When the beneficiary account gets credited, you get an instant alert through an SMS, that the beneficiary account has been credited.
Normally, both sender and beneficiary receives SMS when payment is settled.
Check NEFT Status By Email
If you have given email id during transactions then many banks inform you about the transaction through email also. You can instantly check mail and confirm your NEFT status.
Even if your email ID is registered, banks sends an email to your registered ID for confirmation.

When should you check NEFT transaction status?
NEFT transaction is completed before two hours. It does not get credited to other account if IFSC code given by you is wrong. So, please check and cross verify all details before proceeding.
What happens when the NEFT fund is not credited?
Even if amount is not credited after 2 hours due to some issues, bank return the amount to remitter. So, you don’t need to worry if amount does not get credited to other accounts, it gets refunded automatically. It don’t charge anything.

If your payment is in hold or not credited to beneficiary, contacting the branch is must. Please visit your bank branch from which bank you have done NEFT transaction.
