What is PPF Account?

PPF stands for Public Provident Fund. It is a long term investment option backed by government of India which offers safety with attractive interest rate and returns that are free from tax.

Minimum Invest: Rs 500

Maximum Invest: Rs 150000 (1 Year)

Note: You can open PPF account in any bank. PPF account can be opened in both offline and online. You can also visit any State Bank of India branch for opening Public Provident Fund account.

How to Apply for PPF Account in SBI Online 2024?

So, follow below steps: 

1. First of all visit SBI Personal Banking page. Click Here
2. Click on “Continue to Login” to login.
3. Enter your Username and Password.
4. Therefore, SBI Internet Banking account will open.
5. Now, go to “Requests & Enquiries” and click on “New PPF Account“
6. A form will open. Enter your branch code, enter nominee name if you want to add.
7. After filling all the details, click on “Submit” button.
8. Next, you have to take a print of the above application and visit branch.
9. Finally, your PPF account will be open in 2-3 days.
